Pastor Chris: The Man

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on the 7th of December 7 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family of faith, surrounded by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the child of the elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. God’s grace was passed down to her son early.

The LoveWorld ministry encompasses all members of the family. Reverend Ken the brother of Ken is the most revered pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church and a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome KattyWorghiren serves as the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry(LMAM), where several gospel artists are among the best-selling worldwide.

Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon decided to follow her father’s example of sharing God’s Word to all people. Also known as CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a talented gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome attended Edo College before winning a scholarship to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University, known today as Ambrose Ali University, where the student earned an BSc in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science award. He is also a doctoral honorary from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received his calling from God to be a minister and to serve the Lord.

Chris: The Pastor Chris: The Mentor

While still at university, the Man of God started what would later be the largest church worldwide. It began with a small group of prayer known as ‘Youth for Christ’. The group would later grow to be the foundation of LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy as well as eventually millions of followers across the globe.

Oyakhilome The LoveWorld ministry was established under the direction of Pastor Chris. It’s a pioneer in satellite TV, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station that broadcast out of Africa to the rest of the world, 24 hours a day, all the time on free-to-air channels. Today, LoveWorld stations can be found on satellite and cable television networks throughout the world.
